Tortilla Soup

1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1(4oz) can green chilies, chopped, drained
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
6 cups chicken broth
3 cups chicken, chopped and cooked
1(10 oz) can tomato soup
1(10 oz) can Ro-Tel tomatoes
1(14oz) can stewed tomatoes
1(10 oz) package frozen whole kernel corn
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
salt and pepper to taste
1(8 oz) package tortilla chips
Monterey Jack cheese, shredded

Directions: Saute green pepper, onion, garlic and chilies in oil in large saucepan until tender. Add chicken broth, chicken, soup, tomatoes, corn, Worcestershire sauce, cumin, chili powder, salt and pepper. Simmer for 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Place tortilla chips in soup bowls. Ladle in soup. Garnish with cheese and avocado. Yield: 10 to 12 servings.
