2 large cucumbers, peeled and sliced
1 cup sour cream or yogurt
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/2 tablespoon cider vinegar
10 to 12 walnuts, chopped
Directions: Place all ingredients except parsley in a bowl and fold together not breaking cukes, cover and allow to cool in refrigerator for 1 hour before serving, remove from refrigerator, uncover mix lightly, garnish with parsley. Serves 4 easily.
Notes: I went to Germany in 1962 and found a dish similar to this being served in German Guest-Houses.
